Confirmation that former directors of Robson Brown will continue to work at the agency following its resurrection by The Mission Marketing Group has been made through a statement issued by the company.

Following its closure last month, a statement from the company has said that the agency and the management team will continue under the Robson Brown moniker.

Andrew Marwick will work under the role of managing director at the revitalised Newcastle agency.

Marwick commented: "Joining the Mission Group gives us the opportunity to re-cement Robson Brown's status as one of the most creative agencies in the North of England. It provides certainty for the brand and allows the team to concentrate fully on delivering the powerful and memorable campaigns on which the agency built its reputation. It is a great move for our staff and our clients and we look forward to maximising the new creative synergies that the link with the Mission Group will provide."

Meanwhile Robert Day, director of The Mission Group who has lead the deal which saw assets such as the intellectual property rights to the agency acquired, added: "For many years Robson Brown has been the leading agency in the North East and understandably had been the recipient of many envious glances from within the industry. When the opportunity came to integrate such an iconic brand into the Mission Group we were delighted. The move not only brings a wealth of creative talent into the group but completes a geographical jigsaw for us as our presence in the North East has up till

now been limited. What is not limited are the opportunities that we see for the new revived Robson Brown under Andrew Marwick's direction and we look forward to delivering many more years of success for the agency and many more potent and powerful campaigns for the clients."

Robson Brown began trading as part of the Mission Group on Monday 20th December and joins agencies such as Bray Leino, Story UK, ThinkBDW and Big Communications.
