Duffy leaves Audi UK to become marketing director for easyJet

Peter Duffy has been named as easyjet’s new marketing director, joining from Audi UK.

Duffy has worked at Audi since May 2007 and has also served as marketing services director at Barclays.

At easyJet Duffy will be tasked in the newly formed role with leading easyJet’s marketing activity across Europe and will also sit on the Airline Management Board when he begins in the New Year.

Carolyn McCall, chief executive for easyJet, said: "I am delighted that Peter will be joining the team here as our Marketing Director. His depth and breadth will be invaluable and he has particular expertise in customer insight and the use of CRM which will add real value to our business. easyJet is a great brand and there is significant opportunity to build the brand in our core European markets, making easyJet Europe's leading short haul carrier. "

Duffy commented: "I'm thrilled to be joining Carolyn and the team at easyJet. easyJet has a compelling customer proposition and I'm very excited about the opportunity to build the easyJet brand across Europe."

Yesterday it was announced that easyGroup had won its battle against online dating site Easydate, which it claimed had been traiding on its name, with the site choosing the rebrand as Cupid.
