ASDA takes Shades range online with Cube3

Supermarket chain ASDA is taking its Shades tissue range online with the help of Manchester marketing agency Cube3.

The Manchester agency was appointed to "design and implement" a new microsite for Shades after coming through a four-way pitch.

ASDA's Phil Wilkinson said: "Cube was appointed by ASDA to bring to life the ASDA Shades Family in the digital arena. The new website delivers a brand experience that allows consumers to actively engage with the Shades brand, enabling consumers to gain an understanding of the technology and environmental focus; a passion that the ASDA team put into each of our Shades products."

Under the bonnet of Cube's site is a mixture of HTML5, CSS3 and JavaScript.

The agency's managing director, Karl Baker, said: "“We understand that to channel effective marketing you need to create a natural extension to the brand you are working with.

"The new ASDA Shades website encompasses all the key features associated with the heritage of the brand but provides that individual platform for shoppers to interact directly with that particular family of products.”
