Sumo to overhaul website for Shakespeare Birthplace Trust

The website for the Shakespeare Birthplace Trust in Stratford-upon-Avon is to be redeveloped by Sumo following a credentials tender.

The design agency, which special in working for arts and museums, will work with the charity on a new site, to help is continue to promote the life and works of William Shakespeare.

Sumo will redesign the website with the aim of presenting a more visitor focused experience that will include more imagery, improved events listings and an online booking facility.

The website will continue its visitor focus with a more global, inclusive approach that wick allow users to submit Shakespeare-related content for discussion and encouraging them to get involved in debate and conversation.

Jemma Bowman, digital account manager at Sumo, explained: ‘We are keen to help them to move their activities forward on a number of levels with this website and to provide them with a site which will serve their needs for years to come.’

The Shakespeare Birthplace Trust website will be launched in early 2011.
