Following a pitch, home builder Persimmon Homes is understood to have withdrawn its advertising account out of Brass, with Fuse8 and McCann Erickson Birmingham thought to be the final two agencies in the running.

It is also understood that Leeds marketing agency Brass, which has worked with the client since 1999, may not be set to invoke TUPE, which would see the staff who have worked on the account transfer to the successful agency.

Persimmon Homes is one of the agency’s largest accounts.

At the time of writing no one from Brass has responded to The Drum about the news.

The review of the advertising account got underway earlier this year but had no effect on either the PR account held by Golley Slater or the digital account, held by Fuse8.

In January of this year, Persimmon moved its Charles Church digital account out of Swamp, the former named for Brass’ digital agency, into Leeds rival Fuse8, which has also been working on other websites including the launch of a new Persimmon site in October.

As well as the incumbent, EMO and TC Communications are also thought to have been involved in the pitching process.
