Halifax reveals £25m advertising account shortlist
Halifax, now part of Lloyds banking Group, has announced that Abbott Mead Vickers BBDO, Adam & Eve and Rainey Kelly Campbell Roalfe/Y&R have been shortlisted to pitch for its £25m advertising account.
Halifax is expected to hold initial meetings with the trio prior to Christmas before pitching the business early in the New Year.
It follows the departure of DLKW Lowe from the account earlier this month, following a decade in the post. Their last work depicted bank staff manning ‘Halifax FM’, a fictitious radio station with the tagline “ISA, ISA Baby.”
BBDO boast a strong track record with financial brands, thanks to accounts with Capital One, Sainsbury Bank and Aviva. Their rivals RKCR/Y&R meanwhile are engaged at present on Lloyds TSB’s ad account.
The pitch process will also see Adam & Eve go head to head with their founders former employers, RKCR/Y&R, for the first time since their departure in 2008.
