The senior team at market research company Progressive has been strengthened with the appointment of Scott Brand as research director.

Brand joins after a decade with mruk, which recently made heavy cut backs following the decrease in spend of the public sector, which was it main client.

He has also worked for the Central Research Unit, Scottish Government and West Lothian Council and is a member of the Market Research Society and the Chartered Institute of Housing.

Carole Oag, group managing director, commented: “As Progressive is completing its 25th anniversary year, we are proud to be in a strong position, with a fantastic portfolio of clients and a solid financial performance, despite the difficult economic climate of recent times. I believe the team we now have in place puts us in a tremendous position to build on our success and continue to provide an excellent research service to our clients across a broad range of sectors."
