Creative Scotland to commission study of economic impact of creative industry
Creative Scotland is set to commission an independent study as it aims to find the economic impact of Scotland’s arts and creative industries.
The organisation is looking to determine the impact that the creative industry has felt as a result of the recession and resulting budget cuts with a study which will keep Creative Scotland’s understanding of the situation, up-to-date.
The initial phase will comprise of a scoping study reviewing possible approaches and methods to assess the economic impact on the Scottish creative scene and for consultants to recommend how to approach the full scale impact study.
