GMG-owned Rock Radio has become the 'official radio partner' of rugby league side Salford City Reds ahead of the 2011 Super League season.

The partnership deal will see the Manchester station's branding adorn players' shorts and pitch-side advertising boards during the club's final season at its ground The Willows.

Rock Radio will feature the Reds in sports updates on-air and online and run ticket giveaways and match previews.

'Moose', Rock Radio's programme controller and presenter, said: "This is a great tie up between two very strong regional brands who can fully communicate and connect with each other’s audiences."
