High-end custom cycle specialists Condor Cycles has launched a new website, featuring an interactive feature which allows customers the chance to create their own bikes.

The site, developed by London-and-Glasgow digital agency Alienation, has been developed to help manage the high volume of customer prices enquiries being received by Condor, due to a lack of information provided by the previous site.

In addition the agency has also added the ability to monitor and evaluate site performance, and allow regular updates with new products and ranges.

Also added is the ‘build-a-bike’ facility, which allows clients the opportunity to construct their own made-to-order-bike, with the tool also generating an estimated price upon completion.

Alongside these features, the agency was also briefed with developing a ‘simple, clean and user-friendly’ interface which would increase daily site usage by 5-10%.

Neil Barr, managing director of Alienation Digital, explained: “We created an interface designed to inject the personality of the Condor brand into the online space, adding energy to the site using high impact design to effectively pull the user in.

“The new site encourages interactivity between the organisation and its customers. Condor enthusiasts can engage with the site by experimenting with the bike-builder tool and adding comments to the site’s blog. Alienation created the blog tool for Condor, which allows the business to share its passion for cycling, and expands the Condor community into the online world.

“Above all, as per the client’s wishes, we ensured the content management system was sufficiently straightforward that any individual within Condor could maintain and update the website at their convenience.”
