Two of India’s highest rated reality TV shows have been rescheduled to a late night graveyard slot by the Indian government over concern at their outrageous content.

It follows a series of incidents on the shows, including the suicide of a participant on Rakh’s Justice after being insulted by the host over a marital breakdown and a guest appearance by a sari clad Pamela Anderson in Bigg Boss.

Rakhi Sawant, presenter of Rakhi’s Justice, faces possible prosecution for “abetting suicide” following the death of a contestant he accused of being impotent.

Accusing both shows of “vulgar language” and “objectionable scenes” India’s information and broadcasting ministry shifted the shows into the late night 11pm-5am slot.
