Homeware retailer Matalan has tasked communications agency Yellowdoor to manage the public relations campaign for its women’s, men’s, children and homeware collections.
Lee Pinnington, marketing director for Matalan explained that the brand had just launched its first TV campaign in four years at the weekend, a £10m campaign by BBH.
“This will signal our intention to take the Matalan brand to a whole new audience. We were the first value retailer to enter the UK market place 25 years ago and now it is time to go out to a mass audience to celebrate our unique proposition across the UK retail arena. We are delighted that Yellowdoor will play a key role in revitalising our position,” added Pinnington.
The PR campaign will begin on 23 November when when Yellowdoor will launch Matalan's full SS11 collections through the organisation of a press day.
