It is understood that Fuse8 has acquired London digital agency Delete.

The acquisition of the agency has been on the cards since the Leeds agency became an AIM listed company, and will now work with the staff at Delete on brands such as Red Bell, Decca Records, Babyliss, Cadbury and Westfield Shopping Centre.

Delete was formed during 2010 by a number of digital agency assets being brought together into one entity and is jointly owned by Fuse8's non executive directors, Jeremy Middleton and Graeme Burns.

The agency admitted that it was on the acquisition drive when it floated on the stock marketing earlier this year, and has said that the acquisition of Delete fits the company’s strategy.

Nigel Hunter CEO of fuse8 plc said: “We are delighted that Delete is joining the Fuse 8 group. Delete is an impressive team with similar skills and mindset to that of Fuse 8. The Board feels that by successfully integrating the business, the enlarged Group will benefit from greater expertise and having a London operation.”

Meanwhile, the agency has also been tasked with redeveloping the website for Yorkshire Dales Millenium Trust which is scheduled to go live in December.

The Drum also revealed this week that the agency has picked up the digital pan-European account for MacArthurGlen Group and is also working with Homecall Plus on its integrated marketing.
