Goodyear campaign to promote EfficientGrip tyre handled by Connect

Goodyear is to promote its environmentally friendly EfficientGrip tyres through a nationwide campaign, handled by Connect.

The ‘Saving Britain’s Fuel Mile After Mile’ campaign will see a team visit five petrol stations across England to give away £20 worth of free fuel to motorists during rush hour.

Having already begun at two locations last week – Gateshead and Horsham, working alongside local police, the campaign will continue through out November at three more stations, which have yet to be announced.

Over 500 motorists received the free petrol at both Horsham and Gateshead.

Michelle Fisher, brand manager for Goodyear, said: “We are delighted with the success of this first events. The campaign is designed to educate motorists on the benefits of fitting EfficientGrip tyres to their car. They can save financially as well as helping the environment.

Another aspect of the campaign will see a £10 Sainsbury’s fuel voucher given to customers for every EfficientGrip tyre purchased at participating retailer HiQ outlets or through its website.

Connect holds the marketing account for HiQ.
