The University of Salford has tasked Amaze PR with highlighting its presence within MediaCityUK.

The Manchester PR division of Amaze has been tasked to work alongside the in-house communications team to highlight the opening of its digital learning, teaching and research space, opening at MediaCityUK next Autumn and will be home to more than 1,500 students.

Amaze will begin by highlighting the key-handover to the University, set to happen next month.

Chris Larkin, director of communications for the University of Salford, said: “The move to MediacityUK presents a massive opportunity for the University to enhance its reputation as leaders in the field of digital media and communications. It will also allow us to build strong links with the creative and media industries and boost the learning experiences available to our students.

“We want this new phase in the University’s development to help us make our vision of becoming an outstanding University - renowned for the quality of our engagement, humanity, global reach and leadership in education, research and innovation - a reality, and we are looking forward to working with Amaze to do just that.

“We are now working with them on an exciting programme of cutting edge digital PR projects set to take place over the next 12 months.”

Sandra McDowell, managing partner at Amaze PR, added: “We’re working up the details of a number of innovative, digital events, which are all aimed at attracting new undergraduates and postgraduate students. We want to make the University the number one choice for anyone considering a career in the creative industries.”
