BT customers still feeling the affect of broadband outage
Broadband users across the UK, including large parts of Scotland, have been cut off when another fault was suffered by provider BT.
This was the third major fault experienced by the communications provider in the last five days and hit customers in Scotland, the North of England and Northern Ireland.
Last weekend, 20,000 customers were hit by a ‘similar technical problem’ with BT contacting customers to explain that it was monitoring several BT exchanges which showed DSL faults affecting large numbers.
“This is a critical BT outage affecting many ISPs using the BT DSL network,” the message explained.
The message also suggested that customers leader the modem/router plugged in and powered on to allow service to be restored.
It is understood that some customers were still without broadband this morning.
