Former Co-Operative Group marketing chief joins LNT Group

Patrick Allen, former marketing director of The Co-Operative Group has been appointed as group marketing director of LNT Group.

Allen, who left The Co-Operative Group in July after six years, has been tasked with promoting the five LNT Group companies, including winter protection specialist Basic Solutions, LNT Construction and CoolBlue Software, the software specialist.

Allen, who was voted Marketer of the Year in 2010 by Drum Magazine, commented : “I am incredibly excited to be joining the LNT Group - the scope for aligning the various different businesses under its parent group will bring major brand value to each company and underline the essence of Lawrence Tomlinson’s business successes. The LNT Group has a particularly special story to tell – and with a strong new team in place we will look forward to unveiling the LNT Group’s brand new look in the New Year.”

Lawrence Tomlinson, founding Chairman of the LNT Group, added: “There is simply no better marketer in the industry to take the LNT brand and its individual companies forward. 2010 has been an incredible year for us – we have launched two new cars under Ginetta and now operate 1000 beds under Ideal Care Homes. 2011 is set to be another bumper period for us and its important that we communicate our message with a more streamlined approach.”
