VisitScotland partnered by P&O Ferries for autumn campaign

Ferry operator P&O Ferries has been confirmed as a premium partner for VisitScotland seasonal autumn marketing campaign.

The “Capture Your Autumn Moments in Scotland” campaign encourages visitors from Northern Ireland and the rest of the UK to come to Scotland during the autumn months and showcases the activities, breaks and experiences available to travellers.

The link up with P&O aims to significantly increase the numbers of people from Ireland coming to the area and will include joint sales promotion and online activity with sites such as UTV, Belfast Telegraph and Hotmail.

Union worked with VisitScotland for online media activity while sales promotion was handled by Blue Chip.

VisitScotland’s newly appointed chief executive Malcolm Roughead said of the partnership: “Tourism is Scotland’s most important industry and partnerships like this are crucial to our success. This is the first time we have worked with P&O Ferries in this way and we hope that we will welcome many more visitors from Ireland as a result. There is so much to see and do in Scotland in Autumn and there has never been a better time to visit.”
