Scottish distillery Dalmore has upped the ante in the whisky sector by selling two bottles of its Trinitas whisky for £100,000.

Designed by The Union, The Dalmore 64 year old Trinitas was acquired by a luxury whisky lover in the US and a renowned whisky investor in the UK. The third bottle of the record-breaking spirit will be sold at the Whisky Show in London at the end of October.

Trinitas is believed to contain some of the rarest and oldest stocks of whisky in the world, some of which have been maturing in the distillery on the shores of the Cromarty Firth for more than 140 years.

The Union's Graham Hancock designed the bottle and supporting collateral, with local craftsman bringing Graham's vision to life. Photography was by Richard Foster under the direction of Union executive creative director Andrew Lindsay.

Kyle Hardie, Managing Director of Union Connect, said: "We have had huge success with the development of The Dalmore, and this world record launch takes the brand to a whole new level. For Trinitas we wanted to keep the design and photography simple and make the brilliant liquid really shines; The end result is simply stunning."
