Anti-littering charity Keep Britain Tidy has retained MediaVest Manchester as its media planning and buying agency for a further three years following a competitive pitch.

The account has been with the Manchester media buyer since 2007 and held on two previous occasions before that.

It is understood that both Manchester and London agencies were involved in the pitch for the contract, worth £2 million.

Activity is expected to focus on outdoor media, although other channels will be utilised on a campaign-to-campaign basis.

Rebecca Joinson, acting marketing manager at Keep Britain Tidy, commented: “Our media buying contract has been awarded to MediaVest as their proposal best suits our needs. We’re looking forward to working closely with MediaVest for a further three years to help bring about positive changes to the quality of our local environment in towns and cities across England.”

The Drum also recently learned that MediaVest had won the media account for Northern Rock.
