There may be nothing further from the digital revolution than a game that sees people hitting balls with sticks, but this year's Ryder Cup is set to hit Twitter with the launch of the Glenmuir Tweet Ryder Cup.

The website and back office system will measure every single tweet worldwide, around 3million a second, and validate them against a set of Ryder Cup keywords and phrases to generate a unique scoring system and show who is winning the war of words online as they play the Celtic Manor course.

Glenmuir, the official golf clothing supplier for the European Ryder Cup golf team, has worked with LEWIS form more than nine years with the consultancy delivering brochures, point of sale, photography and digital marketing.

The new European team clothing is set to be officially launched on 1 October as the teams step out onto the first tee to do battle.
