On the back of a number of new business wins Midlands digital agency Freestyle Interactive has appointed three new account directors.

Joining the business, which is the largest digital specialist agency in the Midlands, are Mark Tennant, Angel Gibbons and Paul Thomas, all of whom are joining on the back of several new business wins.

Tennant has worked at director level in creative and strategic marketing for over 18 years and brings broad experience working for clients ranging across retail, aerospace, leisure and education. He began his career as a graphic designer before moving into senior strategic brand & art direction roles with clients such as Mcdonald’s, BAE Systems, EADS and the MoD. Tennant will be responsible for Thales and Scholtes, a luxury kitchen appliance brand.

Gibbons comes to Freestyle with a background in senior account management and business development roles. She has worked both client side in senior digital marketing positions as well as for larger through-the-line agencies. Previous clients have included Bravissimo, 3M and Thorntons. Angel now looks after a range of accounts including Amtico, TRW and Arriva Buses.

Business studies and IT graduate from Birmingham University Thomas’ previous experience includes senior consultancy roles with Capita and Cap Gemini. Prior to joining Freestyle Paul was responsible for the management & delivery of a wide range of large scale digital projects in the public and private sector. Client experience covers work for companies such as Norwich Union, Cheltenham & Gloucester, Nat West, DCSF and Eastern Energy.

Alan Cooper, founding director of Freestyle Interactive said: "This latest recruitment drive is the result of a number of new client wins and a healthy forward book. Latest clients include brands such as Indesit, Massey Fergusson a leading global airline and a world renowned multinational household goods manufacturer. Some of the projects include strong elements of online PR and social media – a digital marketing area which continues to see strong demand. We’ve also secured a variety of exciting new web design & build work from our existing clients."

"In 2010 and going forward into 2011 we will continue to broaden our digital service offer providing a full range of integrated online PR, social media marketing, content and search services as well as mobile solutions."

The appointments also come on the back of two awards for the agency. The first came last week when Freestyle Interactive client Lloyds TSB Commercial Finance took Silver at this year's Digital Impact Awards in the category Social Media: Best Use of Community Development

Freestyle also retained its number one position as the Midland's largest digital agency in the 2010 New Media Age Top 100 Interactive agency annual ranking. Freestyle is ranked 29th in the UK in the Design & Build agency category and 75th overall.

Cooper said: “Recognition at this level with this line-up of judges is something we are extremely proud of. We continue to work on a range of exciting & innovative digital projects with Lloyds TSB Commercial Finance – so watch this space."
