Ofcom has passed over responsibility for handling complaints regarding editorial content on UK-based video on demand services to its co-regulatory partner the Association for Television on Demand (ATVOD).

ATVOD was appointed is the co-regulator for VOD editorial content by Ofcom in March, the first time that such content had been regulated.

The responsibility has now been handed over fully to ATVOD due to Ofcom receiving few complaints on the matter.

ATVOD is an industry body created by key VOD demand companies.
