It’s been the year of the 3D explosion, with releases such as Toy Story 3 and Avatar transforming the cinematic experience and breaking box office records...

Screen Yorkshire and NorthernNet are hosting ‘3D IN YOUR FACE’, a two-day conference, taking place at The National Media Museum in Bradford, on 21 and 22 October. The programme, the UK’s first cross-platform 3D event, brings together a line up of leading industry experts across film, television, games and interactive media to unveil the latest 3D developments through a series of sessions, debate and demonstrations.

Mick Hocking, speaker at the event and senior group studio director at Sony Computer Entertainment Worldwide Studios says: "With 3D Games we are able to both interact and innovate with 3D in ways that no other medium can. Games can deliver the highest quality, most compelling and immersive 3D experiences for the home. They are set to be one of the leading factors in the emerging 3D Home Entertainment revolution. The challenge for us all is to not only produce the highest quality 3D Games but also to get our fans to experience 3D games for themselves, with 3D Games, seeing really is believing."
