Dave Ward, senior designer at Realise has been promoted to the role of deputy creative director.

Ward, who joined the Edinburgh-digital agency three-years-ago from Republic where he was a designer, was also previously a senior-designer at Net-Finity.

Don Smith, creative director at Realise explained: “Dave has been instrumental in raising the standard of our digital design over the last year, as well as developing strong and valuable client relationships. He’s one of those rare people who has exceptional design skills as well as great interpersonal skills.”

Smith added that Ward has also been able to help him fill in the gaps of his knowledge of technical design since joining the company in 2008.

“He has adopted the approach to creativity that I brought to the company and made it his own,” continued Smith.

“In many ways we resemble the team of Mel Gibson and Danny Glover in Lethal Weapon. Dave is dependable, reliable, knowledgeable and considerate. And I am a gung-ho nutter with discipline issues. But somehow it just works very well.”
