Mobile technology firm 2ergo has appointed Manchester PR agency Citypress to handle a campaign to position the company as a world-leader in its marketplace.

The appointment brings things closer to home for 2ergo, which has offices around the world but is based at MediaCity in Salford Quays. It previously worked with Ogilvy London.

Citypress will be targeting PR and communications at companies in 2ergo’s core sectors, which include retail, financial services and media.

AIM-listed 2ergo’s global client base includes Yahoo!, Fox News, Proctor & Gamble, AT&T, Australian Broadcasting Corporation, Rightmove, Guardian Media Group and Ladbrokes.

Charles Tattersall, managing director of Citypress, said: “Our key objective for 2ergo is to show how effective mobile marketing grows businesses, whether they are a large corporate or a small local trader. We’ll do this using our expertise across all of 2ergo’s key markets.”
