First Great Western has appointed The Leith Agency to handle its advertising following a tender.

The agency will initially take on the launch an integrated campaign, promoting its train travel in the south-west area.

The campaign will target leisure travellers and aim to promote the region by highlighting the varying activities and its scenery in the region.

Pippa Hurst-Brown, marketing manager at First Great Western commented: “The Leith presented work that we felt really captured the message and tone we were after. The South West is the biggest region in the county and the work needs to effectively communicate to a wide range of people with diverse leisure pursuits.”

Ed Brooke, head of Leith said: “We’re delighted to have been appointed, Great Western is one of the great iconic British brands. The work reflects the sense of pride in the South West and blends this with the benefits of travelling on the train to some of the most jaw-dropping places in the country”

The Campaign will break in October.
