Sacked comedian Des McLean has said that he will sue his former bosses at Radio Clyde for unfair dismissal.

The Daily Record claims that McLean, who was culled as part of a shake-up at the station last month, has instructed a lawyer to handle proceedings.

The station apparently told McLean that he was to leave the station on 23 August shortly before hosting a champagne party for staff.

McLean was replaced on the breakfast programme, on which he featured with DJ George Bowie, by drivetime DJ Suzie McGuire.
