Turn Key campaign to restore 'sleeping giant' Midori

Morrison Bowmore Distillers has appointed Turn Key to handle a pan-European creative campaign for its Midori brand.

The Leeds-based agency has been briefed to work on both "strategic and creative aspects" of the campaign, which will run next year.

Midori’s European brand manager, Catherine Rigby, said: “Midori is a sleeping giant - a fantastic brand. The world’s first choice melon liqueur and a bar essential, it was launched to great acclaim in 1978 but many consumers are still unaware of Midori’s fantastic heritage – something we hope to restore with an exciting new creative campaign in 2011."

Turn Key picks up the business on the back of work with drinks brands including Luxardo Sambuca with Midori distributor, Cellar Trends.

The agency's managing director, Nik Entwistle, said: "This is an incredible addition to our FMCG portfolio and we look forward to working closely with Morrison Bowmore on this great international brand.”
