Harley Davidson’s decision to part with advertising agency Carmichael Lynch in the US will not affect McCann Erickson Birmingham, The Drum understands.

The iconic motorcycle brand announced yesterday that it was set to part company with the advertising agency after 31 years and that it did not plan on finding a new lead creative agency, choosing instead to work with its remaining roster agencies, including McCann’s Birmingham.

The company has more than 10 creative agencies on its international roster, including VSA Partners, Davie Brown and GS Design.

In a statement, Mark-Hans Richer, chief marketing officer, explained, "Our strategies have been moving away from a singular consumer target and a one-size-fits-all agency solution. Rather than accept this new reality, Carmichael Lynch chose a different path and we respect that."
