Hollywood surgeon dies tweeting behind the wheel
A Hollywoood plastic surgeon who remodeled the faces of several reality TV stars has died in a car crash, apparently after tweeting about his dog, a border collie named Jill.
Frank Ryan careered off a cliff near his home in Malibu shortly after sending a final tweet to his Twitter account via his Blackberry, it showed a photo of Jill on the beach alongside the caption: “surveying the view from atop the sand dune.”
Investigators have not established the cause of the accident but are looking through Ryan’s phone records as one “element” of their inquiries.
Dr Ryan’s spokesperson said: “We are all in shock. He was such a hardworking philanthropic man, a loving son and responsible for changing many peoples lives for the better. He will be missed by many.”
Jill survived the crash unharmed.
