Unemployed graphic designer Mark J Winter has turned to Facebook and Twitter to promote his offer of 10% of his first monthly wage to anyone who can help him land an agency job.

The former junior graphic designer has begun ‘The employment of Mark J Winter’ campaign through his own website and is using social media as well, to find a graphic design job in Central London, but adds that he’s ‘not fussy’.

As an incentive for people to help him gain employment, Winter has promised 10% of his first monthly wage.

On his Facebook site, he writes; “this is your chance to do a good deed and help me get a job. Go forth and spread the word of my situation. I'm a nice guy in need of a hand. You could be that hand. Tell people of this group and get them to join. Then tell them to join and so on.”

He’s even contacted writer and broadcaster Danny Wallace through Twitter who has looked to aid his cause.

“With your help, my skills and a bit of luck I could be the first person to beat this countries employment crisis via the medium of Facebook,” adds Winter who also asks that people mention him and his campaign to drive word-of-mouth towards potential employers.

Good luck Mark, just make that cheque payable to The Drum.
