BSM, the UK's biggest driving school, has launched three new applications, designed to help pupils pass their driving tests. The applications will be available for iPhone, iPad and iPod touch users.

The new BSM Hazard Perception Coach allows pupils simulate the hazard perception test. The app contains a playback to show pupils where they went wrong and also includes BSM's lesson price locator and special Fiat offers. The app can be downloaded for £1.19 from iTunes. BSM is also offering a combined Theory and Hazard Perception Coach containing all of the elements in the BSM Theory Coach app for just £1.79 from the iTunes store.

The BSM Theory Coach, launched in spring, has already received over 100,000 downloads from iTunes with over 7,500 users subscribing to updates to the service.

The BSM Theory Coach app has been developed to include further benefits for novice drivers. The BSM Theory Coach already allows users instant access to hundreds of official questions from the Driving Standards Agency (DSA) enabling pupils to practice at any time. However, BSM has now included a 'lesson price locator' to help new pupils find a cost for driving lessons in their area, while pupils will also be able to take advantage of special offers on Fiat cars, the providers of BSM's fleet cars.

The app, created by digital developers Release Consulting, displays pupils' scores in each critical section of the test including Motorway Rules, Attitude, Hazard Awareness and Accidents, with users able to review any errors at the end of each test.

A compact version of the BSM Theory Coach app is free to download from iTunes.

For the first time, BSM has also made the app available on iPads, in addition to being available on the iPhone and iPod touch, as part of BSM's ongoing commitment to deliver the best experience for pupils. The iPad apps will be available to download in the coming weeks.

Kristian Welch, chief marketing officer at BSM said: "As the UK's most popular driving school, we are always determined to make sure pupils get the most out of their driving lessons as they get ready to become fully qualified drivers. These new apps are a great asset for any pupil preparing for both their theory and practical tests and provides them with an interactive and enjoyable way of learning to propel them to driving success."
