Alienation Digital has been appointed by the Royal Welsh College for Music and Drama (RWCMD), and the Usher Hall to create new websites for both.

Since Alienation's inception in 1997 it has had a growing interest in and relationship with the UK arts sector, working with Scottish Ballet, Young Audiences Scotland, Royal Scottish Academy for Music and Drama (RSAMD) and Pitlochry Festival Theatre.

The RWCMD, situated in Cardiff, is currently planning a £22.5m upgrade.

With performances open to the public and changes in how patrons buy tickets, RWCMD needed to create an online booking facility. Alienation Digital, following a competitive tender process, has been appointed to create a new web platform that will allow customers to purchase tickets online, and select their own seats.

Whilst the RWCMD’s renovations are pending, Edinburgh’s Usher Hall has already undergone its modernisation (pictured). The building recently reopened after a two-year project saw major improvements made to its facilities.

Alienation Digital will create a site that is both "engaging and user-friendly", while aiming to “act as a trusted friend to new and existing customers.”

Neil Barr, Alienation MD, said: “We are honoured to be chosen at the digital partner for these prestigious and dynamic arts organisations. Both our new clients are keen to provide their customers with a smooth, yet exciting online experience, and we are confident we can exceed their expectations in doing so.”
