Scottish Government tasks Weber Shadwick to promote Smoking Cessation campaign

The Scottish Government has tasked Weber Shandwick with the PR contract for its Smoking Cessation campaign, while the Edinburgh office of the international PR business has also been tasked to promote an annual competition for Seafish.

As a roster agency to the Scottish Government, Weber Shandwick Edinburgh has been tasked with achieving to main objectives to the Smoking Cessation campaign will be to signpost and motivate adult smokers to quit and contact Smokeline.

The second aim will see the agency raise awareness and encourage more people to following the newly introduced legislation through the Tobacco and Primary Medical Services (Scotland) Bill which introduced the indoor smoking ban in 2005.

The main target audience of the campaign will be under 18s and tobacco retailers.

Meanwhile, the agency will also promote and manage the media executive for the Seafish Industry Authority’s annual Fish and Chip Shop of the Year competition.
