Newcastle studio Reluctant Hero has created the wall designs for the Gap + Keds concept store on Fifth Avenue, New York.

The large wall installations flank the entrance and provide a backdrop throughout the store, which sells a mixture of Gap gear and Keds sneakers.

The illustrated walls have been given a "torn and layered" effect to create a more tactile finish than typical wallpaper.

Reluctant Hero picked up the brief having created a similar wall effect for Keds' showroom in uptown New York in May.

The agency, based on Pink Lane in Newcastle, works on a range of art direction, illustration, typography, and layout projects.
