Manchester agency True North has been appointed to create an integrated promotional campaign for the reopening of The Holburne Museum of Art in Bath.

The museum is currently closed for refurbishment and will reopen to the public in spring 2011 with a raft of improvements including a three-story extension and a new garden cafe.

True North managing director, Martin Carr, said: "We look forward to working with the Holburne team to excite a whole new audience for the museum.

"This is one of the countryʼs finest small museums and we plan on helping them create a distinctive position that will help achieve their short and long term aims.”

Museum director Alexander Sturgis added: "We look forward to seeing True Northʼs ideas for our re-opening and are confident that they have the wit and imagination to help us spread the word about the renewed and reinvigorated Museum.”
