Weber Shandwick North to raise profile of Handball ahead of 2012 Olympics

England Handball Association (EHA) has tasked Weber Shandwick Manchester with aiding its bid to increase participation in the Olympic sport.

The sports division of the agency will use its experience of sporting and consumer media to promote the sport which will be represented during the London 2012 Olympics and capture the nation’s imagination.

EHA Performance Director, Mick Hegarty stated, “This is a very exciting partnership for England Handball and we are delighted to have the support and professional expertise that Weber Shandwick brings. We feel we have a great sport to promote, and have a proven track record of growing participation levels in schools. Bringing Weber Shandwick North on board boosts our chances of achieving our goal, which is to become the number one legacy sport of the 2012 Olympics.”
