A new press campaign has been created for Alzheimer Scotland to mark Dementia Awareness Week in Scotland. Levy McCallum were appointed to promote the service as well as the media buying.

The creative executions use real dementia sufferers to highlight the many different areas in which Alzheimer Scotland can help people.

The portraits were photographed by Victor Albrow at The Miss Jones Agency who was tasked with capturing the volunteers in a dignified and empowering way.

Kirsty Jardine, awareness manager for Alzheimer Scotland, said: “We believe that no-one should go through dementia on their own and that means encouraging people to speak openly about the illness. This campaign had a strong anti-stigma focus and we have had warm and engaging feedback from the general public in response to the adverts. It has also prompted an extremely positive response from staff and volunteers, as well as the people with dementia and their families that our services support.”
