McCann Erickson Manchester's digital strategist, Mark Kelly, has moved to Leeds agency Brahm to become its digital solutions director.

Kelly, who has worked in the marketing industry for 22 years, was digital and operations director at McCann Manchester and has handled digital marketing campaigns for UPS, Vision Express, Center Parcs, Durex and Scholl.

After making the switch down the M62 he will now be responsible for leading Brahm's digital campaigns. He will work alongside a senior digital team that includes strategic director Paul Mallett, who was managing director of digital agency Swamp when it was bought by Brahm four years ago.

John Morgan, chief executive at Brahm, said: "Mark is one of the top digital marketers in the North and we're delighted that he's chosen to join our already highly-successful digital team. His appointment underlines our ability to attract the very best digital talent to the agency, and we're looking forward to working with him."

Kelly added that it was an exciting time to be joining Brahm. "Digital is being put firmly at the heart of the agency's business, but it is also truly integrated with the other excellent marketing skills and resources throughout the rest of the agency," he said.

Meanwhile, following a four-way-pitch, Brahm has been appointed to handle the PR and communications for the digital TV switchover in Yorkshire and Tyne Tees Regions.

The agency has been given the task of informing and educating the general public and key stakeholders of the dates for the switchover in the region and what they must do ahead of them as part of a two-year contract.

The brief includes media relations, stakeholder engagement and issues management. The transmitter regions, which Brahm will be supporting, include areas of Lincolnshire, north Norfolk, parts of Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire.
