Marketing communications agency Multiply has launched its first television advert on behalf of Spire Health Care.

Edinburgh-based Multiply now claim that television advertising – traditionally the domain of advertising agencies – is an "important market" in which they can stamp their creative footprint.

Multiply director Andrew Murchie, who oversees Multiply’s motion graphics and digital departments, said: “Television advertising is something we have been targeting for a while and it’s good to get the first one under our belt.

“Working closely with Spire we took the initial concept through the various stages of working up a script, developing mood and story boards and on to the shooting and editing phase.”

Multiply also used the opportunity to get footage in the can for a corporate video also commissioned by Spire.

Murchie added: “By keeping strict control of the creative and production process and using our internal motion graphics facilities, we can offer high quality advertising campaigns at a really competitive price. We worked intelligently by filming additional scenes during the television shoot that could be used for the corporate video and maximised what we can deliver on the client’s budget.”

Spire Health Care employs more than 7600 people and run 36 private hospitals in the UK, including Murrayfield Hospital in Edinburgh and Spire Clinic in Livingston.
