The first advertising for Scania by newly retained agency Thinkrla is going live this week - a “unique” event for Scania Young European Truck Drivers.

The event, which will be held at the Heritage Motor Centre at Gaydon in Warwickshire, is part of a tactical campaign by Thinkrla and includes print and radio adverts.

Bournemouth-based Thinkrla was appointed to the Scania business earlier this month.

Paul Smith, business development director at Thinkrla, said of the event: “It’s a massive outdoor competition with big trucks, but there is a lovely family edge to the event.”

The event gives the chance to sit in the brand new England football team coach (a Scania), pimped trucks, go-karting, ‘off-roading’ and free entrance to the motor museum (worth up to £36 for 4 tickets) is included, with unlimited free ice-cream.

The event is on Saturday 26thJune and the deadline for free tickets is 18thJune (through 01908 900 730).

Scania's Tim Pugh recently spoke in depth to The Drum. Read the interview here.
