ScottishPower has undergone a complete revamp of its customer website, with a full visual refresh and a range of new service tools aimed at enhancing customer experience.

These new tools include the facility for website visitors to arrange a call-back from a customer service agent, the upgrading of virtual assistant ‘Katie’ to help deal with a wider range of enquiries, and new video content aimed at providing information on customer issues.

The revamp comes after a six month project led by Glasgow-based agency Dog Digital, whose client services director David Hamilton said of the project: “We are delighted to be continuing our long standing relationship with ScottishPower and are confident that the new site will play a major role in achieving sales targets and enhancing their award winning customer service. It is vitally important that we continue to measure and analyse the site to develop further interactive tools and help guides. Our marketing team will also build on previous successes with search marketing to ensue the site performs effectively.”

And Gerry Magee, head of marketing at ScottishPower, added: “ScottishPower has been the leading online provider in the UK energy market for the last four years, but we constantly strive to improve the service we offer customers and ensure that our web facilities remain ahead of the rest.

“The way in which users interact with our website continually evolves, and we have listened closely to their feedback when designing the new site. The updated layout and the additional features will make it easier for users to get the information or service that they need and we believe it improves our overall customer service offering.”
