The Scottish Government has launched a website which will allow anyone with an interest in Scottish education the chance to share their views and engage directly with the Government.

The Engage with Education site, developed by Tinopolis in partnership with Learning and Teaching Scotland (LTS) is aimed at teachers, young people, parents, school staff and others across the wider education community. Participants will have the opportunity to influence government policy by providing feedback on the key issues facing Scottish education.

A Scottish Government spokesperson, told The Drum; “Due to the very specific nature of this project, we worked in partnership with Learning and Teaching Scotland (LTS) and one of their agencies, Tinopolis, to develop the Engage for Education website. LTS provide professional advice to Scottish Ministers on all matters related to learning and teaching, the curriculum, assessment and schools IT. Given the expertise LTS possess in terms of developing education technology in Scotland, this was the most effective way of developing the site.

“LTS are also responsible for running Glow, the Scottish schools intranet. The need to ensure a seamless link between Glow and Engage for Education was another compelling reason to work with LTS on this occasion.”
