Rocket retained by The Co-Operative Group as media buyer
The Co-Operative Group has confirmed that following a procurement process, it has retained Rocket to handle its £60m media planning and buying account.
A spokesperson for the group confirmed the story to The Drum, that the incumbent had been retained following a pitch which was called in March and saw it up against MediaCom North and Mindshare in the final three, when Mindshare was knocked out of the running.
Rocket then also beat out MediaCom in the final stage to retain the business.
The media buying review followed the appointment of a restructured creative roster, which saw TBWA\Manchester named as lead creative agency for the group.
Marketing director for The Co-Operative Group, Patrick Allen recently spoke to The Drum about the marketing restructure at the company and other plans that were being put in place.
