Ian Dommett, managing director of Golley Slater Scotland is set to leave the company, having handed in his resignation last week.

Dommett, who has headed up the Scottish operation of Golley Slater for the past decade having joined from 1576 where he was an account director, is understood to be on a six month notice period.

Chris Lovell, CEO of Golley Slater confirmed the news and said that it was still too early to discuss any plans for the future running of the Edinburgh operation, although an Industry Insider has told The Drum that they understood that Christina Kelly, head of PR for Golley Slater in Scotland was to take the reigns as interim managing director.

Kelly joined Golley Slater Scotland last year, having previously headed up the PR division of Barkers.

Dommett, who was unable to comment on the news at the time of writing, is a well known figure within Scottish advertising, having also spent time at Faulds Advertising and Marr Associates during the Nineties. He is also a member of the IPA Scotland Chairman’s Group.
