From its rural premises on the outskirts of Leeds, Home Marketing Group has created a new product that it believes will revolutionise the retail display sector.

home is launching a new product called Slatcom, which is a unique, patented slatwall insert set which will enable retailers to transform the look and feel of the ubiquitous slatwall displays at a fraction of the cost. Importantly, it will negate the need to invest in costly promotional merchandising, thus reducing capex costs and improving bottom line.

Slatcom has been redesigned from the traditional slatwall insert to incorporate a unique patented lip design which enables each slat to hold individual pieces of print, on any material, flat against the wall.

Dave Sewards, CEO of the home Marketing Group and a director of Slatcom Ltd, comments: “Historically retailers have had to rely on printing on self-adhesive material or expensive card to visually merchandise their displays. This is time consuming and expensive, and also gives a less than professional finish. Slatcom inserts dramatically improve the look of a display and are a cost effective and practical alternative. Front fitting they offer retailers the ultimate usability as displays can be updated quickly and easily as the existing slatwall can remain in place during the fitting process.”

Sewards continues: “Whether you’re looking for a full turn-key solution, encompassing design, print and installation, or just want to purchase individual inserts, we can bespoke the proposition to meet a customer’s individual needs.”

The easy to fit mechanism means that updating a slatwall display will cause very little disruption to a business, and will help to reduce cost, as there is no need for staff training or to employ external fitters.

Retailing at a similar price point to a standard insert, Slatcom is available in a choice of PVC or aluminium, with a T-shaped or L shaped profile, and in a range of 12 colours. For displaying smaller items such as accessories you can insert individual strips in each vein or larger solid images across multiple veins for bigger items like clothing. Slatcom is a universal product and fits all types and sizes of slatwall. It will be manufactured in China.
