Notorious Scottish underground graffiti artist Conzo is part of a new design collective recently launched in Glasgow.

DE:STRUKT, the print, branding and web design agency, already boasts clients including café chain iCafe, Italian restaurant Cookie Scotland, photographer Erminando Aliaj, Spectrum DJs, Boutique In The Attic, and Gav Livz, with further client wins to be announced in the near future.

Having separately worked at various agencies throughout Glasgow, and on some big clients such as Amir Khan, T in the Park, Shell, IRN-BRU, Reebok & Monorex, the trio of Conzo, Rico and James soon found themselves knocking on the same doors, applying for the same design jobs.

Rico (Riccardo Chapman) says of the exasperating experience which led to the formation of the agency: “There is nothing out there which is frustrating, but we are also just tired of listening to a guy who tells us how to design, when their background is being a salesman...LEAVE THE DESIGN TO US!! So myself, Conzo and James had a chat and thought with our experience and clients we have worked with we can do it ourselves and put some of the design agencies to shame.”

The team cites Tangent Graphic as its influence as to how an agency should be run, but the inclusion of a graffiti artist/illustrator, and the offering of interior wall art, is what DE:STRUKT believes sets it apart from the competition.

“If we keep our heads down, work very hard, stay creative, keep playing great tunes and enjoying life then who knows. We have many companies in the UK that we admire and we have set very high standards for ourselves. We want to be the guys that do something different and create eye-catching work.”
