A new series of ads to promote The Walkers Flavour Cup are set to roll out later this week to promote 15 limited edition international flavours, launched ahead of this year’s World Cup.

The 60 second ad, fronted by Match of the Day presenter Gary Lineker, is the world’s first ‘crisp tournament’ with the 15 new flavours set to battle it out for the title of Walkers Flavour Cup Champion which will be named in July.

Celebrity ‘Super-fans’ such as Julie Goodyear, Paul Daniels, Melinda Messenger and Will Mellors will support their own flavours throughout the tournament.

Presenter and football commentator Stuart Hall also appears as the official commentator, a role which will be extended to through out three separate 20 second ads featuring the British public showing their support for different flavours while performing ‘madcap’ stunts.

Lineker, who has now starred in over 80 adverts for Walkers, said: “Shooting Walkers ads is always good fun; this time around I even got to do some crowd surfing – watch out for it at the end! I’m more than excited about this new range of flavours. As a nation we make a great bunch of supporters, I know who I’m up for but which flavour will you become a fan of and who’ll taste the glory in July?”

The first network terrestrial showing of the new Walkers Flavour Cup adverts will be on the evening of 5 May.
