Following a three-way-pitch, Kernel UK is to create a new approach for Arabic brand Alra PUCK, while the agency has also been approached to develop category rationale and strategic development for a number of Aldi’s branded lines.

The Arla PUCK brief will see the agency, which recently relocated from Southern England to Manchester city centre, begin the strategic development to reposition the brand to be a more relevant to modern Arabic consumers, which will be delivered later this year.

Meanwhile, supermarket chain Aldi has tasked Kernel with the category rationale and strategic development across its snacking and ready meals.

The first of these is expected to be delivered at some point in May.

Finally, Kernel has also been commissioned to work closely with Great Places Housing Association and their funding partner Regenter in their PFI regeneration bid for social and private housing in Pendleton, Salford. The agency has been tasked to play a key role is in the development of Place Identity and communication strategy for the project which is still in its competition phase.

Kernel previously worked with Great Places on its regeneration bid in Oldham MBC at Primrose Bank, alongside OMI Architects to create its identity and key insights that inspired the scheme.

In January, Kernel UK opened its doors in Manchester, having moved from Southern England following the appointment of Kevin Corcoran as managing director, working alongside fellow Director, Paul Iddon, director of creative strategy.
